Ford
Elementary is Dedicated
On
August 15th, several hundred people joined the
Georgetown Independent School District Superintendent,
its trustees and staff members to dedicate the
district’s newest school - Jo Ann Ford Elementary.
Dr. Jo Ann Ford and her family were on hand to
celebrate this momentous occasion with the community.
FTWOODS
Construction is so proud to have been the construction
manager for this project. Teaming with BMA Architects,
the district’s newest school was completed a month
ahead of schedule and for less than originally
budgeted. Lee Loving, Ross Schneider and Zeb Robinson
led the Team for FTWOODS Construction. They worked
very closely with Jennifer Mauldin the school’s
Principal and David Biesheuvel the Facilities
Manager for the District.
The
new elementary school is located at 210 Woodlake,
just South of Williams Drive and is home to students
in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.

and will soon be completing an Audi dealership.

is also very recognizable by its unique blue color.
The
Audi dealership is 27,000 square foot with sales,
service and parts departments. The sheet rock is

is manager by Ross Schneider, Project Engineer Rick
Schiller and Field Manager Casey Clawson.
FTWOODS
Construction is proud to say that a representative
from the SAAB Corporation commented that this
particular Roger Beasley SAAB dealership is one
of the top three dealerships in the nation and
is possibly tied for the best, out of 126 dealerships
built nationwide.

Future
Constructors
On
Wednesday, May 5th, six students from Benold and
Forbes Middle Schools spent the day with the FTWOODS
Construction staff. Organized by Partners in Education,
this semi-annual career day provides 8th graders
with an opportunity to spend the day in the community
working alongside professionals in a field they
are interested in. The students visiting us were
interested in careers in construction and architecture.
During
the day, the students had the opportunity to tour
two job sites in different stages of construction.
Lee Loving guided the tour through the new Jo
Ann Ford Elementary School and Rowdy Caskey toured
the students through Cedar Breaks Retail Center.
They were amazed to see the amount of planning
and coordination it takes to build a facility.
A
question and answer session was held during the
lunch hour with Zeb Robinson, S.C. Inman, Mike
Chaney, Ross Schneider and Mike Mason answering
most of the questions. Tony Bagliore spoke to
the students about the importance of a good foundation
not only when it comes to building, but in life.
The day ended with a lesson in estimating and
a chance for the students to work together as
a team and put their newly learned skills to the
test.
Congratulations
to the Graduates...
